She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Washington and Jefferson College with a degree in Biology, and earned her M.D. from Georgetown University.
She completed her internship at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio and her dermatology residency at Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego.
She served nine years in the Air Force, stationed in San Antonio, San Diego and at Yokota Air Base in Japan — dermatology practiced for a population that could not choose its climate or its sun exposure.
Outside the clinic she spends her time with her two children, and enjoys cooking, gardening, hiking and tennis.
